Mrs Chester smiled and held her fingers, “wow! It is so beautiful. Mrs Chester gushed excitedly and Adelina smiled with her heart full of joy.
She glared at Aquila meanly while Aquila in return flashed her a knowing smile, while they were both making faces at each other, Mrs Chester slipped the rings off Adelina’s finger.
“You are not fit to be my daughter-in-law, you wh.ore!” Mrs Chester snapped angrily.
Adelina ran out of the house in tears, Eriel wanted to go after her but Mrs Chester held him back.
“Don’t you dare move an inch,” Mrs Chester snarled angrily. “Here,” Mrs Chester said, giving Eriel back the ring.
“Now propose to her,” Mrs Chester said with a frown on her face while Mr Chester brought out his phone to take photos of them, Eriel frowned and tried to prove stubborn.
“Stop it mum! I love Adelina and not this poverty stricken ugly girl, I will not marry her and even if we get married, I will frustrate her until she asks for a divorce, trust me!” Eriel yelled.
“Keep your mouth shut and propose to her,” Mrs Chester said calmly this time.
“Dad! You are not saying anything, are you just gonna watch mum treat me like an outcast?” Eriel asked angrily.
“Listen to your mother son, she knows what’s best for you,” Mr Chester said calmly.
“Gosh! I hate you so much Mr Chester, you have always been mum’s horse, you just keep letting her ride you!
I hate you! I hate everyone!” Eriel yelled angrily. Aquila walked to him with an unflinching gaze.
“How dare you talk to your parents in such manner, don’t you have an iota of respect in you!” Aquila asked angrily and Eriel flinched at the dark look on her face.
