CHAPTER 37
“Arizona’s birthday is in a week Lexus”
“I know, what are you planning to give her” I asked
“I don’t know, I came to ask for suggestions from you” he said
“I … Arizona never had a mom, c-could you..”
“Arizona doesn’t give a fvck about a mother, I am enough for her!” he snapped
“oh, she loves something elaborate , she already has cars and other stuffs, why don’t you just spend some quality time with her”
he sighed
“the thing is.. she thought I was planning something about her birthday the day we just met and I can’t let her have suspicions if I just come up with a simple thing”
“what if you combine both, spend some time alone to communicate with her abd throw her a party afterwards”
“you’re a genius baby girl” he pecked me and I closed my eyes to enjoy his warmth but a loud knock came in.
We disengaged quickly and he looked at me with worry in his eyes.
“Lexus are you asleep, can I come in?”
“hide hide… Mom give me a second!!…” he managed to pull his clothes to himself while I threw my night gown on.
“hide in the wardrobe” I whispered and he turned to look at my small pink wardrobe.
He hesitated and wanted to say something.
“Are you busy Lexus..”
“just a sec mom.. a sec” I pushed him to the closet and he managed to enter after a level of difficulty due to his tallness abd hugeness.
I used my chair to hold it tight and breathed three times before opened the door.
“heyy mom!” I said in an high pitched voice
She peeped inside with a frowned face.
“Your father and I couldn’t sleep because of a noise that comes from your room.. is there someone else in the room Lex” she asked
“No! I mean, there’s nobody”
“why did it take you so long to open the door then, there’s no need to lie to me Lexus, I can recognize sounds like that and I know a guy came to your room, is he still inside, can I meet him?” she asked
“I’m sorry for disturbing you guys, he already left” I looked down with remorse.
Here I was thinking we weren’t loud.
“are you still on your pill?”
“yeah”
“Good night darling” she pecked me before leaving.
I closed the door and sighed, then I realized there’s still a big skeleton in my cupboard. it must hurt squeezing to fit.
I hurried and opened the wardrobe.He had a distressed look on his face. I hugged him out and he held his back.
“I should get you a new closet”
“want my mum to ask how close I am with you?” I retort abd he sighed
“I just wish nothing can stop us from being together shawtie” he kssed the tip of my nose and wore his clothes.
I walked him to the balcony and he prepared to jump down like the way he climbed up.
“wait” I walked to him and he looked back.
“I love you” I stood on my toes and kissed him.
He nodded and left, what was I expecting?
