Dooshima had initially refused his assistance, but mama Amos sat her down and had a good discussion with her, telling her to open up herself, that she was no longer a baby and needed a husband or a man to assist her with Shania that the baby was suffering. Dooshima had not said yes, Terdue began to spoil her.
“Dooshima allow me to take care of you, you’ve suffered so much, I don’t want you to suffer anymore.”He begged as Dooshima stood beside him, near his car. Shania was chewing the piece of Suya meat Terdue had gotten for them and washing it with a pack of fruit juice.
” I’ve been hurt before, I was hurt badly. I broke my father’s heart because of a man who later dump me. How sure are you that you don’t want to just play with my emotions, use me and dump me?” Dooshima asked chewing her nail.
“Marry me?” He suggested.
“What? That’s crazy!” Dooshima said, a smile illuminating her light skin, Terdue gulped in the aura of her beauty, as it reflected like sunlight hitting glasses.

“Am serious Dooshima marry me, court marriage and church marriage. We can wed at your church.” He said, Dooshima laughed so hard, Shania joined in the laughter though she couldn’t tell the reason for the laughter, but she affected by her mother’s laughter and her stomach was full.
” I’ve not said yes to dating you, you’re already talking about marriage and you talked about church I should tell you that am not a church person.”Dooshima said to him, she didn’t want to hide anything from him.
” But your dad is the owner of the biggest church in Benue? ” He said with a shock look on his face.
” Well you said my father. I choose a different path for my life.” She said.”Are you sure you want a woman who isn’t religious?” Dooshima asked, because she had not seen the inside of a church, for more than three years.

She believed church was a body of hypocrites pretending to care, but they are ready to judge and cast one down after one mistake. She was better off not going to church.
“Dooshima we can work on that i don’t know all your story, but I hope to understand it soon.” He said.
“I wish you best of luck trying.” she said. “Am a hard nut to crack.” Dooshima added.
“Does this mean we’re officially in a relationship?” Terdue asked with his eyes glittering.
“No we’re not, you’re still on probation.” She said and walked away with Shania, Terdue had to hit his head with his palm, he died to have her say yes. He was ready to be patient, if she asked him to be.
Dooshima slept late that night, she wondered if accepting Terdue wasn’t a mistake. She didn’t want to be hurt the second time. He had stocked her kitchen with so much food she and Shania couldn’t finish in a month, he got Shania a pad. Shania was adding flesh, he had offered to enroll Shania in the best school in Lessel.

She wanted a touch of a man, a man who loved her, not all the perverts that stared at her with lustful eyes. She turned on the data on her Samsung galaxy phone he had gotten for her. She began to type to him. If she didn’t do it for herself she had to take faith for her daughter.
“I’ve thought about your proposal for the past four months, I’ve seen your good will, but I’m not easily moved by material things, you know I come from wealth.
I just want a sincere man who loves me genuinely, I think I could trust you. I say yes to date, no to marriage. I can’t just marry a total stranger.”She sent the message at twelve.
Fortunately Terdue was rounding up, some accounting work he had taken home from work. He opened the message, he couldn’t believe his eyes. He screamed from his room.
” What is it Terdue won’t you let me to sleep? What’s by the time there?” his mother yelled at him him. “Please shut up and go to bed!” sha said.

“My mum is shouting at me right now, she wants me to be quiet, I am literally shouting at the top of my voice, Dooshima you made my night, I don’t think I can sleep this night baby, I’ll be at your place first thing tomorrow morning.”
He said, he kept turning and tossing on the bed, he couldn’t sleep till about five A. M in the morning by six A. M he was up, dressed in a grey suit, a white shirt and a grey and red stripe tie, a black Oxford brogue shoe.
” Son why are you looking so excited this morning?” Mrs Doosuur asked her son.
“Mummy it’s obvious your son finally got himself a woman.”
His younger sister said. Terdue glared at his sister, she smiked back.
“Are you a witch?” he asked laughing, his mum joined in the laughter.

“So finally you got a girl? I hope she doesn’t turn out like Fanen who broke your heart and left you miserable.” Mrs Doosuur said, Terdue laughed heartily exposing his white glistening teeth.
“Mama Dooshima is different she’s God sent.” He said cutting off some of his mother’s fried egg from her saucer.
“Sit down and have your breakfast, you will have a long day at work.” He kissed his mother’s cheek.
“No mum the joy in my heart cannot contain food.” He said running. “Mum I borrowed your car keys.” he said dangling the keys to his mother’s black lexus. MRS Doosuur shook her head in amazement, she was amazed at how a young man could behave irrationally when love drunk.

Dooshima had the hunk of the car horn outside the house, soon Terdue was at her door knocking. Shiana ran out. “Mum uncle Terdue is here.” Terdue squatted down next to Shiana.
“Hello little flower?” He said to the little girl.”how are you doing this morning.” He asked.
“I am fine.” She said embracing her big teddy bear to her chest, Terdue had gotten it for her. “Are you going to be my daddy?” she asked, Dooshima standing behind her, looked down at her with a smile on her face. He held her hands.
“Is it for real Dooshima are we a thing?” He asked her. She nodded with a smile on her face.
“Yes I can be your… You know.”she was too shy to complete it, Terdue was almost shaking with joy.
” Can I embrace you? ” he asked Dooshima nodded, he did embraced her and let the tears he was holding up in his eyes flow down, for a very long time he had tried and finally he got her.
Shiana giggled and clapped for her mum and her new boyfriend. “Cheers!” she cried.
