CHAPTER 30

12PM ~ IN THE HALL

The Hall was filled with all the final year students in Gold’s worth high school. The noise that were erupting from the crowd was ear-deafening.

The final year highschool student’s biology presentation was scheduled for today and they were to present it in the presence of the whole class and the officials to receive marks.

The 7th week after resumption was the week for Presentation instead of tests or quizes.

The subjects presentation was the unique practice in Gold’s worth. On the norms, presentation are meant for college or university students but this highschool changed the pattern.

“Keep quiet you spoilt brats” the baritone voice of the school principal sounded and the hall was silent at once that one could hear the sound from a pin drop.

“I didn’t believe what the staffs were reporting about y’all but know I see for myself, for the love of fuc.. for the love of Christ” he paused midway as he realized he was about to cuss in front of the children

“This is a school, not a market square. Moreover, your parents are paying a huge sum of money not only to learn how to read books but to learn manners and curtsey.

We teachers are also like your parents, you have to learn respect” he said and the students had an apologetic look drawn on their faces.

“I hope my words won’t just pass through your ears, you have to put it into practice. I’m begging you guys, please change alright?” he said and the students murmured

_ we’re sorry princy

_ we won’t do that again

_ I still don’t give a fk

Mr Sparks, the principal shook his head and walked out of the hall.

The panel of judges took their seats and the presentation began.

“First on the list, Nicholas Sparks” Mr Drinkwater announced and the class mates clapped, awaiting for Nick to climb the podium.

1 seconds… 5 seconds… 30 seconds.. 1 minutes..

Where is Nick?

The principal was fuming in his seat as he witnessed the delay because his son was nowhere to be found.

“Next up, Lexus Salvatore”

Lexus stood up from her seat and went to the the pulpit. Arranged her papers on the flat surface and spoke to the mouthpiece

“hi”

_ omg Lexus your voice is still cute in microphone

_ she’s just too special

“thanks.. thank you, so I’m presenting on the topic Variation”

“i believe we all know that we believe in the same species which is ‘homo-sapiens’ but how ever, each of one of us carries a different look.

In members of different family, the difference are still there but they are not so obvious, the difference that are observed within a species are called Variations”

She paused and saw that everyone were paying attention to her.

“I’m sorry Principal and judges, I was so nervous that I forgot to greet you” she chuckled and made a brief bow

The spectators laughed along to then she went back to her presentation.

“Variation may be due to the effect of inherited characteristics. Just take a look at y’all beautiful faces, I know you know who you inherited it from” she said and everyone nodded.
