CHAPTER 16

I was drinking at the club , that’s the only thing that gets me and Westley relieved whenever we are stressed.
I ordered a whiskey as I was sipping it. While Roy was flirting with a girl and Oliver as usual focused on his phone.
I looked at Westley whose eyes were glued to the entrance. I’m sure he’s waiting for her
I continue sipping the glass of liquor in my hands.
Mason, I think you’ve taken enough. Westley said.
But I just continue sipping without looking at him.
Then he took the glass from my hand and drank the remains in the glass. He called a waiter to come take the bottle and glass away.
Are you serious right now?
You can’t just be drinking like that, remember.
I just sighed as I rested my head on the couch.
But something cut my eyes when I saw two girls climbing the steps.
The closer they got I saw that it was the girl that sat in my back.
I never really got to catch her name.
I kept staring at her and I didn’t know why I couldn’t take my eyes off her. I wouldn’t deny that she looks beautiful in that red dress she was putting on.
I saw the way guys were staring at her with so much lvst and desire and for a reason it irked me .
When her eyes caught mine I’m pretty sure that my heart skipped a beat.
She quickly tore her eyes away from me as she sat there looking so innocent.
I looked at Westley who was looking at his crush with a smile on his face.
She looked so beautiful, he said.
I just smiled and nodded my head. I can’t deny that the girl is really beautiful.
But I hate the fact that other guys are looking at her. It pisses me off.
That made me chuckle a little.
Never seen this side of you Westley.
But then Roy was walking towards her.
He said something to her and she smiled . I looked at Westley whose smile was gone and anger was visible on his face
She stood up with Roy and I guessed he asked her to dance with her.
Westley whose eyes never left hers .
Before I could say anything he stood up and went to the balcony staring at them.
I looked at Oliver who was glued to his phone.
Did you really come there to have fun or play games?
I should ask you the same thing because you are just sitting there looking bored. Oliver said.
I just smiled as I rested my head backwards.
My eyes were now staring at the girl who was sitting there looking around.
Then she stood up and went to the balcony watching downstairs.
She looked at Westley and there was a smile on her face. I guessed she must have figured that Westley has something for her friend.
It’s like watching her just made me forget all my worries.
But then a frown made to my face when a guy approached her.
Looking at the guy I already knew he had no good intentions towards her.
Well that’s not my business.
So I quickly tore my eyes away from her.
But not up to a minute I was staring at her and she was smiling at him.
Then he took her hand as they went downstairs and I’m sure he asked her for a dance.
I don’t know why I was so interested in this.
Nothing has basically cut my attention before but a girl dancing with a guy had all my attention there,which was really weird.
I stood up and went to stand beside Westley.
Are you going to keep watching her and Roy dance?
Fk, I hate the fact that he’s the reason behind her smile.
Then just go meet her, just start a normal conversation with her even if it means that you’ll pretend you don’t remember her.
But Westley kept quiet as he just continued to stare.
Just keep your eyes in her, you know how Roy can be when it comes to pretty girls
Westley looked at me before he nodded.
I looked back and saw that girl and the girl she was dancing with.
She seems uncomfortable,
But then he touched her inappropriately and that made her push him away.
She took her bag and walked out of the club and I saw the guy smirked before following her behind.
I went back and sat down .
Well, whatever happens is none of my business, I said to myself.
But I didn’t feel comfortable again and I kept staring at the entrance.
I found myself standing up making way to the entrance.
While girls were trying to get my attention but mine was far from them.
I reached outside, and when I saw the guy trying to get his way to her it made me boil.
I’ve never been in a fight with anyone before or gotten so pissed that I’ll want to hit someone before.
But seeing this made me want to tear this guy alive.
I rushed towards him and pushed him away as I kept htting him so hard as he passed out.
I looked at the fragile girl at my back who was shaking and immediately I touched her she screamed.
Please don’t hurt me.
All I could do was pull her in a comforting hug as she cried her eyes out.

After a few minutes she apologized and I helped her up. I saw as she removed her heels and thanked me once again before walking away.
I stared at her as she left but I had the urge to follow her and make sure she was safe.
So I did ,I followed her but I kept a very large distance between us.
I watched as she looked back but I was quick to hide behind a tree.
I watched if she continued walking and I did too until she reached her building.
I expected her to go inside but she sat outside.
She pulled her earpiece as she stayed to play a song.
I was about to turn around but I stop my track when I heard her start singing.
And I’ve never heard someone in my life song so sweet and soft at the same time
I turned back facing her but made sure she didn’t see me.
I heard as she sang and I listened to the lyrics.
Is she heartbroken?
Did someone break her heart?
Does she have a boyfriend?
The thought of a boyfriend made me feel disgusted.
I continue to listen to the most amazing voice I have ever had.
I quickly brought out my phone and opened Shazam to get the name of the Song.
” Thomas – not my job anymore”.
For some reason I found myself downloading it.
I watched as she stopped singing and I frowned not hearing her voice again.
I saw her enter the building and I turned around to leave.
Realizing what I’ve done I quickly scode myself.
What do you think you’re doing Mason?
What if someone sees you here?
What about your promise to Ariana?
I’m so dumb I hit my head with my hand as I made my way to our suite not wanting to return back to the club
Immediately I reached there I was the only one around. I went to my room and took my headset not before messaging out group chat that I’m home Incase if there looking for me.
I placed my headset on my ear as I played the song I heard my someone this night
