Sister Bintu stood,three pews to the front row of the Church,she was drenched in sweat as she danced with all her strength,the Choristers were really doing a good job in delivering praises to God.
Pastor John,who was in his office,kept on watching as she swayed and danced in joy on the tv in his office which was attached to the CCTV planted around the church.
He shook his head,what was it about this lady,that made God choose her as his wife.
Pastor John was unhappy about God’s choice for him,and he didn’t hesitate to ask God for a change,but God had insisted that Bintu Abdullah was his wife.
In tears,he questioned God,he was of the thought that he had lived an obedient life,and didn’t deserve the kind of woman he was getting. Her face alone was a turn off for him because he didn’t like Fair ladies,the scars on her face didn’t help matters.
Bintu had procured the scars from the torments and persecution she had passed through in the hands of her Family members for being a Christian, Pastor John however didn’t care,he wanted an ebony princess who loved God.

Pastor John had gone in prayers, shedding tears and trying to see if he could change God’s mind,but he had met with a brick wall because Bintu had been the woman ordained for him.
After seeing that he had no choice, especially since he didn’t want to dare disobeying God,he decided to study Sister Bintu from afar,and so doing,he was able to gather some pieces of information about her.
He had been furious after learning of the fact that Sister Bintu was an illiterate,he had gone into depression, thinking of how Sister Bintu could fit into his line of ministry,but he eventually overcame it,after having dreams of what could be his eventuality, should he refuse God’s will for his life.
Sister Bintu works as a cleaner in a Primary School,but she was mainly a Baker,she had decided to take up the job of cleaning the school on the instructions of a man in her dreams,and surprisingly,she had gotten more customers since she became a cleaner.
Parents and Teachers of the school she cleaned placed different orders,and these earned her more money to make her more sustainable.
She had enrolled in an online English class, because she realized that the way she spoke to people was sometimes a put off on their side,she spoke like an illiterate.

She had improved overtime,and could communicate better in English,but she wasn’t all that fluent.
She had had dreams of Pastor John being her husband, before he even became the Head Pastor,but she rebuked the dreams because she thought she was lusting after the brother.
While the Praise-Worship session went on,Pastor John called Pastor Gbade into his office,and demanded reasons why He(Pastor Gbade) sold materials in the church.
Pastor Gbade replied Pastor John by saying that he was obeying God’s instructions.
Pastor John shook his head,and gave him a serious warning not to lie with the name of the Lord.
He further warned him not to make sales of such because that action contradicted the words of God.
Pastor Gbade was filled with fury at the words coming out of Pastor John’s mouth,but he nodded in response to what was said by the Man of God.

He proposed in his heart to visit his herbalist,after the Sunday service, because he felt Pastor John had to be punished for addressing him the way he did.
Pastor John mounted the pulpit,his eyes darted around as he unconsciously searched for Sister Bintu who he eventually saw.
He scoffed within him.
Soon,it was the end of the Service.
The ministration had been powerful as usual.
Sister Bintu who had just finished saying a word of prayer in thanksgiving,arose from her kneeling position,as she made to step out of the Church when she suddenly bumped into something,oh no, someone.
“Greetings ma’am”, the man she bumped into greeted.
She looked up and realized she had bumped into Pastor Gbade.
Something about him smelt evil,even tho he was her Pastor.

She greeted him with a smile,and apologized for bumping into him,of which Pastor Gbade replied graciously with a charming smile.
Pastor John watched on from the window of his Office,and smiled unconsciously.
Everything about Bintu disgusted him,and so he decided to make a word of prayer for God to put in him,a feeling of love for her. A prayer that didn’t take long to show proof of answers.
Sister Bunmi didn’t like what she was seeing.
This was the second time she would be dreaming of Lawrence.
Lawrence was a final year student of Medicine,he was her roommate’s elder brother.
She had initially thought God was leading her to Pastor John,but found out that she was very wrong.
She didn’t like Lawrence, especially because he always smelt of Garlic.
Sister Mmesoma eventually fell into a second trance, she saw clearly,the face of the man God wanted for her,and she had double feelings about it.
It was no other than the Prayer Co-ordinator, Brother Felix.

Brother Felix was a business man with a thick Igbo accent.
He looked quite old,but she had been told his age in her trance.
His diction was a big problem because he pronounced his L’s with the R sound,and he sounded disgusting to her ears at times, especially remembering that her grand father spoke that way too.
But God’s will must be done.
*Do you think Pastor John would obey God’s will for his life by accepting Bintu???
*Do you think Pastor Gbade’s plan against Pastor John would come to pass??
