I spoke to your mum, he said your dad is much better now, he had regained consciousness, he could recognize faces of brethren who had visited him from Nigeria. But he couldn’t speak or walk. I’ll go and see them.” He said, Ada sitting next to him.
“I’ve spoken with my wife here, she’s going to help you with the baby until I come back, I’ve asked a contact in Abuja to get me the law school form for Abuja, or do you prefer Kano? ” He asked Dooshima shook her head.
“No sir I prefer Abuja.” She said.
“Okay Abuja then, I’ll send five hundred thousand naira into your account before I leave.” Ada’s brows curved in anger.
“Honey is five hundred thousand not too much? what would she be doing with that kind of amount? ” She asked her husband.
“Come on Ada what’s five hundred thousand naira in this current Nigeria? she’ll buy pampers for the baby, she’ll buy food for herself.” He said.

“But I cook at home why would she need to go and boy food outside? ” she asked .
“Have you forgotten why she stopped eating here? please Ada I don’t have time for this your argument, it’s my money, I’ll do with it as I please okay? ” He said Ada got offended, she got up from the couch, she stared at Dooshima from head to toes, before climbing up the stairs.
. “Dooshima don’t mind my wife, she’s always like that, she doesn’t like anyone who is not her child, same thing she did to my sons and Ogwuche, just be fine if you need anything call me, I’ll instruct my secretary in the office to get it for you. when I get back I’ll relocate you and your baby to Abuja, so you can continue schooling there.” He said, Dooshima went up to be with her baby.
Shortly afterwards an alert dropped, Ogwuche’s uncle had sent the money as he had promised . Dooshima couldn’t sleep that night, her mind was just so worried, she couldn’t tell why she was restless.

When she went to bed she kept seeing dreams of Ogwuche in a casket. In another dream she saw a dream of a man who looked almost exactly like him , but with a lesser build chasing after him with a cutlass,
Ogwuche stumbled on a stomp, the man met up with him and began to cut him over and over with a matchet blood ran like flood from his body as he was begging the man not to kill him. With a loud squawking cry she jumped from bed, Shania was startled she began to cry and yelp with her tiny voice.
Mr Agada had heard her scream, he ran out of his room, to check on her and her baby, Dooshima was sweating profusely.
“Dooshima are you okay? ” He said, Ada was standing at Dooshima’s door with arms folded over her chest, with a frown on her face, Her scream had caused her migraine headache. Dooshima couldn’t say a word she held her crying baby to her chest.
“Lillian talk to me? what’s the problem? ” Ogwuche’s uncle asked. She was still quietly breastfeeding her child.
“If she doesn’t want to talk let’s go back to bed!” Ada yelped on frustration.

“You can go to bed, nobody is holding you here .” He barked at her, She remained where she was standing with a cloudy face. “What happened Lillian ? Why were you screaming? ” He asked.
“I saw a dream Ogwuche died in it, he was being cut with a matchet until he fell down dead.” She said.
“So it’s because of common dream that you’re screaming like that.” Ada said mockingly. “I don’t know if you spoilt rich kids don’t know what nightmares are. So when your daughter grows up that’s how you’ll be scaring her? ” she asked.
“Ada you’ve said enough please go back to the bedroom, I’ll come and join you there. I need to talk to Lillian alone.” He said as he sat on Dooshima’s bed.
Ada stood there for a minute before she went back to the master bedroom. “Dooshima it was just a dream, you shouldn’t worry Ogwuche is okay.” Agada said.

“It felt so real, it didn’t feel like a dream, please sir check on him to see if he’s doing well.” Dooshima said, Mr Agada nodded.
“I’ll definitely do this night, I’ll call his number to put your heart at rest.” He said. “Try to catch some sleep okay? ” Mr Agada said Dooshima nodded.
“Okay I’ll see you tomorrow morning.” He said before stepping out of the room. He dailled Ogwuche’s number severally, he was not taking his call.
So he decided to call his mother’s number instead, while dialling her number, he checked the time on the digital clock on the headboard. “It was about three A.M . Ene picked the call.
” Hello brother are you still awake? ” She asked with a drowsy voice.
“Yes I was awoken by a scream from the lady who has a child for Ogwuche…”

“Oh thank God so she has put to bed? I didn’t know O.” Ene said. “How’s she and the baby. ” she asked.
“They’re fine, she had a dream that Ogwuche was attacked and he died, that he was attacked by a man who looked like him.” He said.
“Brother it’s true oh we’re in the hospital right now oh. Ejembi attacked Ogwuche, he stabbed him all over his body, the doctors have been trying to save him, they said he has an Internal injury.” she said with a sad voice.
“Where is Ejembi now? ” He asked.
“He ran away nobody has seen him since then oh. ” Ejembi said.
“How is Ogwuche doing now? ” He asked.
“Not well oh! we’ve given him six pint of blood, but he keeps shorting blood, I don’t know what else to do oh, Ejembi will not kill me oh. ” She said crying.

“Where is Simon? ”
“He has gone home to sleep, he was here till eleven, he said he’ll be coming back tomorrow morning.” Ene said with a teary voice.
“Are you alone in the hospital? ” he asked.
” No Ogwuche’s wife is here with us. She’s sleeping now.” she said.
“I was supposed to travel to America tomorrow, but I’ll come to the village to see if it’s something I can move him to a better hospital in Abuja before I go. ” He said. Ene thanked him so much before she hung up the call.
