“Shut up! You’re pregnant are you married? ” He asked her, Dooshima was silent as a dove. “You kept refusing us your brothers just to end up with a stranger who abandoned you.'”
He mocked her holding her biscuit bone hands in his iron grip. Dooshima didn’t know if she should have cried for her hands or his harassment.
“See let me tell you Dooshima.” He said confidently. “I want vagina, since you’re sharing for others, I want to take my own.” Dooshima wanted to insult him, but her courage failed her.
“Let go of my hand please! ” Dooshima said as she struggled to to free her wrist from his grip, her wrist had gone red raw like beef, tears was forming around her eyes. The thug chuckled in her face, he touched one of her nipples, Dooshima struggled to get away.

“You’re a prostitute like other girls on the street. You think because your father has money you’re any different. I will eat this thing. ”
He touched Dooshima’s vagina. His friend Ngutor came from behind him, and landed a heavy blow on his head, the shock sent him flying to the ground.
“Fanan I swear to God if you touch this girl again I’ll shoot you here now! ” He said angrily. Fanan struggle to get back on his feet. Their friends had run from the drinking joint to stop the fight.
“Ngutor you punch me because of this bitch?” Hanan spat our blood from his lips, he roared at Ngutor, edging foreward to confront Ngutor who had put his hands under his shirt to pull out an old Glock hand gun from his trousers.
“Orneh calm down, Orneh don’t let woman to cause you to fight.” The young man begged, he knew Hanan would shoot at Ngutor, others held Ngutor back.

“this fool punched me because of Dooshima the pastor prostitute daughter! They are the ones closest to God still she got pregnant for an Idoma boy!” He roared, heaving I’m anger, his chest was rising and falling as he spoke.
“Hanan if you want to live stay away from Dooshima. If you near her your mother will cry for you.” Ngutor warned him.
“Because you think you’re Gana boy Ngutor?” Hanan spat. “I’ll fall you nothing will happen. Here isn’t Katsina Ala! Imagine a Katsina Ala bastard telling me rubbish in Gboko.
If you think you’ve a strong head I’ve a stronger head.” The men escorted Ngutor out of the place. ” Police are searching for you. they’ll kill you as you they killed Gana bastard.”
Dooshima was shakened , she had never in her life been sexually assaulted. She locked herself inside her flat and cried herself to sleep.

Ogwuche left Agadagba at about six A. M. He wanted to escape before his father woke up. He had hurt the love of his life. He couldn’t understand why he remained in Ohimini when his life resided in Gboko.
He had refused to touch the wife his father had brought for him. He fought the urge for two weeks, his manhood stood up at attention. He pitied the poor girl his father had made part of his scheme.
She was a good girl, early in the morning she would be the first to be up, she swept the whole compound, washed the plates and joined Ogbene and his mother to cook. She was a beauty to behold, but Ogwuche’s mind was with someone far away.
His father had not locked him after Pa Onoja came to their compound. But Ogwuche couldn’t understand why he couldn’t make up his mind to go. He endured the pains on his man hood, he had refused to betray Dooshima, but he couldn’t go.

When he got to the garage he got a Benue Link Sharon Bus going to Makurdi, he had paid and sat at the front seat. He turned on his phone, be had turned it off when Dooshima was bombarding him with calls.
“What are you doing? ” the driver asked when Ogwuche started opening the door of the front seat as they drove out of the garage.
“Stop the bus! I want to come down!” He shrieked. “Park it here park I want to come down! ” Insisted the bus stopped at the middle of the road for him.
“Calm down Oga we cannot park at the middle of the road… ” Ogwuche couldn’t wait, he jumped out of the vehicle and began to run towards town . His body was feeling hot like pepper was showered on him, it hurt so bad.

“Did you not go again? ” Onyabehi asked him, she had seen when he snuck out of the house, without taking his bath.
Ogwuche ignored her and rushed into the bathroom. He down in bed, he got a notification from his phone, he had a new email.
He opened his mail, it was a message from the state ministry of health.
“Dear Doctor
“Doctor Ogwuche John Ogar, this mail is to notify you that your employment with the Benue state ministry of health has been terminated with immediate effect.

An investigation by the Nigeria medical council into an allege case of rape, brought against you, found you guilty of coercion, and drug inducement, which led to the rape of your girlfriend Lillian Gamadi Akwaza.
A letter was forwarded to the hospital to inform you of the outcome of the investigation, and hear your appeal, your letter had remained untouched for two weeks.
Secondly a case of truancy and negligence at your place of work. Always leaving your work station to make calls while on duty, had reached the hospital management.
Thirdly you absented yourself from office for two weeks and three days, with this reason above the state ministry of health has decided to terminate your employment here with.”
Ogwuche read the mail, he exhaled and lay himself on the bed, arms squeezed in between his clapped thighs, silently the hot tears sipped into the bed. He couldn’t believe his life had turned South right before his own eyes.
