CHAPTER 130

Twenty minutes later a blue Toyota Corolla drove into the the parking lot of the restaurant, Ajuma dropped from the backseat , Ogwuche felt his heart beating like a war drum ,he couldn’t contain the emotions, her grey coloured flared gown , hung to her body like a bath suit ,the red flowery decoration brought out her ecstatic beauty .
The two security men at the entrance door , held the door open for her , she was wearing a high heels sandals, she walked with class and grass, Ogwuche got up on his feet and embraced her with his shoulders, trying not to touch her pointy boobs .

“You’re looking so ravishing, and even more handsome .” She said as Ogwuche’s gaze was fixed on her face , he shyly took his face away .”Stop teasing me .”Ogwuche chuckled.
“I am not teasing you Ogwuche you’re a handsome man , let’s go and get food from the counter .”
She said, Ogwuche trudged along. “But I’ve eaten already before you came , I don’t think my stomach has space for more food .” Ogwuche said , she made him a puppy sad face .
“That’s story , I cannot eat on my own , why did you eat without me ?” She said . “you have to eat again .”Ajuma said.
they got two plates or fried rice and chicken with a pack of juice.
“You’re looking beautiful.”Ogwuche said to Ajuma over lunch .”Pretty enough to take away your mind for your worries ?” She asked ,a soft smile plastered Ogwuche’s face.

“Well there’s place there just opened in town , it’s call Galaxy Cinema , I’ll like us to go there .” Ajuma said ,Ogwuche agreed , they left the restaurant at about five P.M, they drove towards Benue State University, and took a right turn to a big mall there , an escalator took them to the first floor , the movie was just starting, the whole place was grave quiet.
Metal chairs with red upholstery covered the hall , that was built sloppy , so that those behind were higher than those below,Ajuma took Ogwuche’s hands and led him to a chair in the middle , they distracted several couples as they made their way to their choice sit .
The movie Black Panther had just been premiered in Nigeria , Ajuma held Ogwuche’s hands in hers as they watched in silence , every now and then she would Whisper words to him .
At Gboko Mimidoo had come to show her support to her brother’s ex, she and her mum were so grateful that she could visit and pray for her brother who had hurt her badly , and he came out of coma .
Mimidoo was shocked to see that Dooshima’s husband to be , was somebody who looked so familiar, she had to take a snap shot of him , she wanted to see Dooshima but then , the security was too tight , nobody could go ten feets near her , if it wasn’t a close family member , the whole of Gboko came to attend Dooshima’s traditional marriage .

She managed to take a snapshot of Terfa , she would planned to show it to Terdue ,if the man was the same person , she knew Dooshima was in big mess . Dooshima went back into the house as soon as all the rights were done, she refused to see the guest who had wanted to see her , not even her mother could make her come out .
Shiana made her way into her mother’s room , she looked at her mother ,who was lying on the bed , her clothes shoes were lying on the floor ,her gele rested on the pillow .
“Mummy why are you crying ?” Shiana asked Dooshima as she climbed on the bed . “Am fine baby am not crying .” Dooshima said as she cleaned the tears from her eyes .
“But mum your eyes are red , is that how new brides cry ?” Shiana asked . “Oh Shiana I want to be alone now , I don’t have the strength to talk .”Dooshima said , the door creaked and Mimidoo with her children trooped into the house , Cynthia, Dooshima’s colleague from the office , who was to be her best lady on Saturday followed behind.
“Dooshima why are you crying ?” Mimidoo asked .”I am not crying.” She said “Mummy was crying , but she said she wasn’t crying .” Shiana added .

“Shut up Shiana go out of here .” Dooshima said as she broke into tears crying on Mimidoo’s body . “I can’t get him out of my head , why did he have to come back now and ruin everything for ?” Dooshima said weeping .
“But Dooshima it’s not too late , to end this scam of a marriage, I thought you would borrow yourself some sense when he walked out on Yiu at the restaurant.” Mimidoo said .
“It’s not so easy Mini , you know I brought shame on my family’s name eight years ago , I can’t do that again , Terfa is my father’s friend son, I’ll destroy their relationship of over fifty years if I should pull out now.” Dooshima said still crying .
“Hmmm Dooshima am being afraid oh , I’ll advice you , it’s better to soil your parents name how , than to get yourself into a lifetime of regret .
“Cynthia added sitting next to Dooshima. “Marriage isn’t something we should manage , if you marry the wrong person you’ll live with it till dwrh do you path , no room for divorce in Christian marriage.” Dooshima Cynthia said . Dooshima wiped her tears .

“I can’t bring embarrassment to my parents again see how happy my mum was , I will endure , she said with time I’ll learn to love him .” Dooshima said with strong conviction. “I can’t spoil this I’ve gone too far to turn back now .” She mumbled .
“Ogwuche it’s kinda late ,you should pass the night at my place .” Ajuma beg Ogwuche , they were both sitting inside his car , the movie had taken up about two hours .
“I’ve to go , my uncle will freak out if I sleep out , my ex did her traditional marriage today, I took the car , I’ve not driven in seven years, he would think something has happened to me .” Ogwuche said .
“Then call him , the road isn’t safe I can’t let you go home this night.” coincidentally Mr Agada’s call came through. “Ogwuche where are you? are you okay ? it’s almost eight P.M and you’re not home.” his uncle said .
“Uncle I came to Makurdi to see Ajuma, I was thinking about calling you now .” Ogwuche said . “It’s already late I hope you’re not going come back today ?” He asked .

“That’s what we were discussing, it seems I have to spend the night at Ajuma’s place .” Ogwuche said . “Uhmmm Control yourself oh! I don’t want to hear another story again oh!” Mr Agada warned Ogwuche, He chuckled on the phone .
“What are you laughing about ? the first one you did caused you alot of problem, don’t touch that girl , my friend told me she doesn’t know a man , don’t go and mess up again .”
Mr Agada said with a stern voice , Ogwuche promised not to touch her , he wasn’t even planning to .When he hung up , Ajuma kept asking him what it was he was making him laugh he could say .
They arrived at the mimi estate , about ten ground flats , Ajuma occupied a two bedroom flat , her house was so neat and clean , the couch were immaculately clean . “You got a sweet home .” Ogwuche said , she laughed , she went into her wardrobe and produced some male pajamas .
“Do you have a male clothing shop in your bedroom ?” Ogwuche teased ,she laughed . “Well it belonged to my ex fiance , Victor , he couldn’t remember to pack his things .

” the tone suggested anger . Ogwuche collected the Pajamas and went into the bathroom in one of the bedrooms to take his bath he changed into the Pajamas and returned to the sitting room .
She had already microwaved , white rice and chicken stew , she placed the plate on the table and went to take her bath ,her silk pajamas made her contours on her bust so revealing ,that Ogwuche had to run away with his eyes , he immediately had a hard-on, he forced his head to wander somewhere else .
“What happened between you and your ex?” Ogwuche asked Ajuma .”Oh Victor? I had met him soon after secondary school,we started dating , we promised to have a chaste Christian relationship,he waited for six years .
On the seventh his libido couldn’t hold , we were almost getting married , when the news broke out that he slept with a teenager , in our church and got her pregnant. Her parents were looking for him with police everywhere , the last I heard he’s hiding in Abuja .
I was devastated, but I am fine .”She said passionately, Ogwuche felt sorry for her . Her food tasted so sweet in his mouth .

Ogwuche told her the full story of what had happened between him and Dooshima.
“I’ll be leaving for America on Saturday.” Ogwuche said , he saw the shock on her face .”But why ?”she asked .
“Well I want to change environment,my uncle thinks it’s going to be good for me .” She said ,he saw sadness blanket, her happy face .
“Why are you sad ? “Ogwuche asked , she tried to feighn a smile . “Am not sad am happy for you , I actually thought we could…” She trailed off . “We could what ?”Ogwuche asked .
“Never mind , thanks for the lunch and movie today, it was nice ,you took me out of my boring routine . I need to go to bed now ,it’s already eleven thirty .”
She said as she got up and entered her room , she slept with a heavy heart , Ogwuche wondered if he could tell her his uncle’s plans for her , he decided to go to bed with the secret , he decided that he would tell her if their bond continued when he got to America.
