SpaceX, the American spacecraft manufacturer has announced the launch of its Falcon Heavy rocket. This marks the fourth launch of SpaceX’s heavy payload launch vehicle which recorded its first flight in 2018.
Today’s launch payload comprises two U.S. Space Force satellites. This includes one employed for numerous prototype missions in geosynchronous orbit. The second will be used for the purpose of national defense.
Although SpaceX operates more with its Falcon 9 rocket than its Falcon Heavy, the spacecraft continues to record substantial use across its four flights. Three boosters are said to be used by the Falcon Heavy for its added thrust and lift capacity versus Falcon 9’s single core.
