CHAPTER 35
~MORNING~
Since Elsa’s class was mid-day, she made sure to sleep to her satisfaction.
Opening her eyes slowly she shift and turn to face the other side. She opened her eyes slowly but to her surprise, her eyes met a tall figure sitting on Natasha’s bed with a book on his hand.
It took a while for her to recognize the person “Ray?” She called and the guy spranged up too.
“Elsa.. you’re awake” he stuttered.
“How did you get in? And why are you here?” She asked quickly with a frown.
“I’m sorry to enter here without your consent. I’ve always had an extra key for this room, I got it from Natasha” he replied causing Elsa to curse under her breath.
“How long have you been in here?” She asked.
“20 minutes, I swear” He replied.
“Well Natasha is not home and I don’t think she’ll be home soon..” Elsa replied looking the other way.
“I.. I am not here for her.. I came here for you” He said. Elsa couldn’t help but got mesmerized by his emerald eyes.
It will be more beautiful if it wasn’t for the constant frown on his face.
“Why” she raised her brow.
“I… About yesterday, I’m deeply sorry. I definitely do not mean those words-”
“Why did you say it then?” She cut in.
“I’m just not used with nice words” He replied. Elsa could swear she saw a flash of sadness in his eyes but it disappeared immediately. She wants to ask why but she stopped herself.
“Hmm.. Fine, I forgive you” she replied and saw his lips curve up. This would be the first time she would see him smile.
“Alright that was fast.. I thought you’d h!t my face again before you’ll forgive me” He ruffled his head like a kid.
“Should I take my words back then?” She raised her brow.
“Oh no! Don’t” He said quickly while she chuckled. “Since you’ve forgiven me, we can be friends right?”
Elsa seems to think for a while before nodding.
“Friends then” he added with a grin revealing his one side dimple.
Noticing his red eyes, she asked. “Did you sleep?”
She watched Raymond swallowed. “Uhm, no.. I was worried you’d appear in my dream and then strangle me to d.eath” he replied and she chuckled again.
“I was actually planning to do that.. you got me” she played along.
“No shit.. this would be my first time meeting a wtch personally. What else can you do Elsa”
Hearing her name from his lips again made her feel good. This is the first time they are talking nicely to each other.
“I can heal your heart, I can fly, I turn into…”
The first sentence made Raymond smile disappeared. She kept on talking but didn’t hear them.
Why does she have to say that? He cleared his throat and Elsa stopped.
“You alright?” She asked.
“I just need some water” he replied.
“Oh, I’ll be right back” she replied standing to get a glass of water from the kitchen.
When the water filled the glass, she turned to leave but bumped into his chest.
She blinked severally staring up at him. Her heart starts its weirdness. His emerald eyes never left her for once.
It was as if he was staring at her soul. “Ray” her voice came out like a whisper.
He took a step closer and she shifted back. “What have you done to me Elsa?”
The look on his face made her shiver a little. How come his mood change so sudden.
“Why are you in my head?” He asked taking another step closer while she shifted back until her back touches the counter.
He placed both side beside her and stared deeply into her eyes with his inches from hers.
“We can’t be friends, you know that” Came his hoarse voice.
