CHAPTER 80
A MONTH LATER~LEXUS ROOM
Lexus’s POV
A month went by as fast as a whim and it feels like our relationship started yesterday.
I’ve learnt and tried so many things with him especially in that area.
“Lex, come down here!!” I heard mom’s loud voice coming from downstairs, she still hasn’t stopped being curious about my ghost boyfriend.
I stopped doing my homework and closed my pen. I’ll do it later in the night.
Arriving at the door of the kitchen, I found mom looking beautiful as always in her stained pink apron and the flour dusted all over her made her more cute.
I finally found out were I got the looks from.
“Could you help me grab some apples and flavors at the convenience store down the street, I forgot to buy them yesterday” she said.
“sure mom” I smiled.
“just 30minutes hey, you can go see him after you deliver my errand” she rolled her eyes.
I took the already drafted list from her and hopped out.
The store is just a 5 minutes walk. I took a shopping cart and pushed it to the pastry section.
I took out the number of apples I needed, added few flavors to the basket, some eggs and the last on the list was corn starch.
I moved around the whole column and I couldn’t find it. I was about giving up when I spot it at the tippy top of the shelf.
I huffed, I’ve been wanting to give a remark about this shop and now I’ve decided, the person arranged the stocks should be sacked.
I advanced towards the area and stretched to reach it but I couldn’t even reach halfway.
Situations like these makes me feel depressed, how did I turn out to be this short? I usually argue with whoever calls me that name but now…
I was getting tired of standing on my toes and eventually started jumping to reach for it but all my efforts were futile until I felt a taller shadow envelope me and picked up the can with ease.
I gasped in awe of his prowess and turned to thank him.
“Hey there short lady” he smiled.
“Ocean” I gasped even more.
“I couldn’t almost recognize you” he said.
“I wanted to thank you but your u called me short, I’ll reserve my appreciation” I reached to snatch the corn starch from him but he dodged and kept it in his shopping basket.
“Oh no, did you think I was helping you? I was getting it for myself” It was obvious in his eyes that he was pulling my legs. But nevertheless, he started walking away.
“get back here Ocean, help me take another one, you saw how I was struggling to take it” I ran after him.
“I would’ve helped you, I only you knew the magic word” his head came closer. It was an annoying fact that he was looking down on me.
The air suddenly felt wrong and it looked like he was about to kss me but he stopped halfway and touched my nose.
“Alright fine, please Ocean help me get a corn starch”
