CHAPTER 28
Minutes Later
Jeremy and Joanna sat in the living room watching a series on the tv.
Freddie came out of the kitchen with Moanna and they went to the table.
They sat down and started eating.
Jeremy was trying to focus on the series but his eyes occasionally kept looking at them.
He kept scoffing inwardly.
“Take this” Moanna said and Freddie opened up.
Freddie noticed Jeremy glaring at him and he bursted into laughter and made eye contact with Moanna and they laughed.
Joanna kept laughing silently staring at Jeremy turbent.
Suddenly Joanna saw a cockroach crawling weakly towards Jeremy.
“A cockroach” Joanna said and Jeremy eyes widened.
“Where?” He asked scaringly.
“There” Joanna replied, pointing at the cockroach which was about climbing on his leg.
“Ahhh” Jeremy screamed and jumped on Joanna, both of them falling on the sofa.
“Freddie!!!”.

“Freddie!!! kll it” Jeremy screamed, clinging tightly on Joanna.
Moanna and Freddie couldn’t the laughter coming out from their mouths.
They broke into a big uncontrollably laughter.
Moanna almost fell from the chair she was sitting on.
“It’s climbing the chair” Freddie said and Jeremy screamed the more.
He quickly turned Joanna over and she came on top of him.
“Kill it please” He screamed.
Joanna mumed her cheeks as she controlled her laughter.
She got down from his body and kill the cockroach.
“I have klled it” Joanna said and Jeremy’s breathing started coming down.
He sighed in relief.
“Thank you” Jeremy said and Joanna smiled.
“How did that get here?” Jeremy asked, feeling embarrassed as he looked at Joanna.
What will she think of him?
“I don’t know” Joanna replied and they traced their eyes to the table and caught Freddie and Moanna smiling mischievously.
“You!” Jeremy said.
“You are the only one who knows I’m scared of cockroaches, you are not my friend anymore, I hate you” Jeremy yelled and went upstairs.
Joanna let out the laughter she was holding and fell on the couch.
“I can’t believe the great Jeremy is afraid of cockroaches, bestie you’re bad” Joanna said.
“But I still hate you for abandoning me for him” Moanna frowned.
” Come on bestie” Joanna pouted.
Her eyes met with Freddie and he gaze went to her pouted lips, he found it cute.
She smiled at him and he smiled back.
Minutes later, Joanna and Freddie left the mansion leaving only the ¢razy individuals in the mansion.

NIGHT**
Jeremy rushed downstairs and entered the kitchen to get a glass of milk.
He saw Moanna in the kitchen cooking.
She turned and their eyes met but they said nothing to each other.
He went to the fridge and got himself a glass of milk.
He glanced one last time at her before leaving.
He went to the living room and switched on the television.
He switched to an action series channel.
He placed his legs on the table as he comfortably watched the movie.
Some few minutes passed and Moanna too walked out of the kitchen with a plate of garnished noodle.
He looked up as he her footsteps, he watched as she sat down and drew the table closer to her.
Jeremy controlled himself and said nothing… he decided to keep quiet.
Moanna glanced secretly at him, expecting him to react but to her surprise he did nothing.
“What is up with him?” She said silently.
Moanna eyes caught the remote on the table and she took it, she changed the channel to another thing.
Jeremy immediately stood up and walked out of the mansion.
” Wow! that is so surprising of him, did he forget his brain this night?” Moanna said and laughed.
Jeremy got outside and entered his car, driving out.
