CHAPTER 72
Immediately we reached home, I walked Avery to her room.
And as I was about to turn around I had her sweet voice.
“Mason”
I turned around and saw her standing at the door.
“Could you please stay with me for the night”
It wouldn’t hurt to do so.
I smiled as I waited for her to come out of the bathroom.
After a while we both cuddle ourselves under the sheet.
“Mason”
“Hmm”
“Could you please sing for me?”
I looked at Avery ” are you for real”
She nodded her head.
I pulled her closer to me as I thought of a song to sing.
“Baby, you light up my world like nobody else
The way that you flip your hair gets me overwhelmed
But when you smile at the ground, it ain’t hard to tell

I sang the song over and over again till I knew that Avery had fallen asleep.
I looked at her sleepy face and it broke my heart.
I didn’t know for how long I’ve been staring at her but I removed my gaze from her when my phone rang.
I picked it up without looking at the ID.
“Mason this is 12am and your time is up. Get your ass home right now”
Before I could reply the call ended.
I looked back at Avery’s innocent face as she was asleep thinking everything will be alright.
“Why does bad things happen to good people”
“When It was just the beginning of my happiness and it’s taken away from me”
“When she just confessed her feelings to me, and I’m going to break her “.
“But everything I do is for her happiness and protection ”
I quietly stood up from the bed and took a piece of paper and a pen behind the lamb as I began to write in it.
It broke me even more writing this thing down.
After I was done I gave her a long kiss on her lips before turning around.
Inside the note: I know it would not be easy for me to forget you and the love in our current relationship we once had.
But, I also know that if I stay in this relationship, it will spoil all good things and we will only have bad memories giving us a grueling feeling.
So I take the initiative to move out for both of us.
I cried as I walked out of the door with a heavy heart.
