CHAPTER 32
Aquila snapped out of her thoughts when she felt a presence.
She looked at the mirror in front of her and saw Eriel standing beside her.
What do you want? Go straight to the point, I am not in the mood to listen to your stories,” Aquila muttered with a frown on her pretty face, Eriel cleared his throat and began.
“I want to make things right but before that I need you to forgive me, I promise not to ever do anything that will hurt you, please forgive me,” he said and went on his knees.
Aquila stared at him as tears slowly trailed down her eyes.
“Why can’t I just hate him?” She thought staring down at him.
The truth is that she fell in love with Eriel since the very first day she stepped into the mansion but she masked it up because of Adelina.
“Stand up, I have forgiven you but if you dare raise your hand on me next time, I will show you my crazy color,” Aquila muttered.
“Huh? I should stand up?”Eriel asked in a surprise tone like his ears are playing tricks on him, Aquila nodded smiling.
“So will the Almighty Eriel Chester continue kneeling down like he is under a punishment?” Aquila asked with a sarcastic look on her face.
“Oh,” Eriel muttered in embarrassment as a blush stained his cheek.
He stood up and Aquila also stood up from where she was sitting and hugged him.
Eriel was surprised at first as he wasn’t expecting the hug but he immediately hugged her back.
He can’t lose this opportunity. “She is so fragile, I will never hurt you my dear,” Eriel thought.
“His arms are so comforting,” Aquila thought. They broke the hug after some time and stared at each other.
“Let’s be friends,” they both said at a time, they stared at each other and then they bursted into laughter. Eriel felt so relieved as he stared at her.
“I will try hard to win your heart my love, fk Adelina,” Eriel thought.
He snapped out of his thought when he felt a gentle touch on his left cheek, he look down as Aquila caressed his cheek.
He smiled and hugged her, his arm wrapped around her waist. “We will be resuming work next week Monday, what do you think?” Eriel asked.
“It is ok, I am tired of staying at home,” Aquila muttered and Eriel nodded smiling brightly he felt at peace with himself.
