Lexus waited for a while to see changes in Arizona hardened expression but it didn’t soften at all. She sighed before turning around to reach the door.
“Lex wait! I’m just kidding, I’m still trying to get over Nick, you’re all I need right now” Arizona ran to Lexus and hugged her from the back.
“Can we have a outdoor barbeque later in the night, you have to invite your parents” Arizona said.
“I knew you wouldn’t last!” Lexus giggled before turning to the back and hugging her properly”
“I love you Lexus” Arizona said in a timid voice.
“I love you too baby”

IN THE EVENING~DIAZ SUITES
Sungeol left a couple of minutes earlier to take a breather so Ji-min was left alone.
Her phone rang and an unknown set of numbers appeared on her screen. It was a video call even.
She swiped up after the 5th ring and her lookalike appeared on the screen.
She smiled wholeheartedly.
“Eomeoni (mother)! I learnt a new word, am I right?”
“Arizona? how did you get my number” she smiled.
“From dad”
“what’s up baby?”
“can you come over in the night, I’m hosting a simple outdoor barbeque” She said.
“I’ll love to go anywhere I can see my daughter” Ji-min smiled.
“okay, I’ll see you at 8pm then” Ariz said before hanging up, leaving the bright eyed lady grinning ear to ear. Who knew being a mother can bring her so much happiness.
She stood up from the bed and prepared to take a shower even though she already had a shower not quite long.
After coming out from the shower, she took out a formal white jumpsuit and threw it on.
The smile never faded away as she applied make up and concealed the scars on her face, forgetting the memory of how it was embedded on her face.
Why did the devil have to walk in at that cheerful moment?
He stopped at the entrance and watched how she beautified herself.
“are you treating me to a surprise dinner date?, should I pretend like I saw nothing?”he folded his arms and smiled.
“Ya, sarang(hey love)” She twirled the swivel chair and stood up.
“Can I go and see my child..”
“you’re already dressed and you seek my permission” He said and she bit her lips.
“I’m sorry, it’s an impromptu.. I’m running late, annyeong (bye)” She pecked his cheeks and began to trot out but he pulled her back.
