KAYDEN’S PARTY
Arizona already checked the rooms except one that was at the end of the hall.
She heard giggles that is certainly from a female voice when she got to the door.
She didn’t give it a second before opening the door. Surprisingly, it was not locked.
Before her was Nick and a girl she hasn’t seen before, they were both tangled up against each other and a tablet in front of them, they seem to be watching a movie.
Nick hear the sound of the door this time and looked up, he saw Arizona but didn’t jolt or try to hide.
“Arizona..” he said.
“Let’s break up!!” they said at the same time, why was she not yelling and throwing tantrums?
“what?”
“I realized you don’t like me. Truth me told, I didn’t date you cuz I like you, you were so popular and I wanted to attract everyone by dating you.
I started getting used to you and I mistook it for love. I only understood untill today, I’m not going to cry” she was also the one doing the explanation.
“Is it okay if I tell everyone we broke up?” this was not the Arizona he knew.
“Sure” She smiled wryly and pocketed her hands before walking out. She always had an hunch that he’s cheating on her but seeing it physically didn’t even move her at all.
Now that she’s free, there’s a guy that likes her and she thinks she likes him back.
She got out of the party and brought out her phone from her bag. She dialed his number. Great! when did she memorize it?
She sighed and let it ring but the AI keeps saying the number is no longer in existence.
“no longer in existence?” her heart sank and redialed the number but it repeated the same words.
She gaped and went straight to WhatsApp. They haven’t been chatting but she thought he was angry because she chose Nick over him. She saw his contact and saw that he changed his number.
“where are you?” she texted and it showed three dots immediately.
He was online.
“I left” he replied.
“to where?”
“New Jersey” he replied. She gasped and shook her head in disappointment. Tears almost dropped from her eyes.
“Rizzy, I don’t think I can endure watching you and Nick all over town. I have grown to love you too much, I’m sorry.
I think we should be in contact anymore, I wish you a blissful relationship” he texted back.
“but we broke up already” she wanted to send it before she realized he already blocked her.
The water in her eyes finally fell.
“No!!” she cried. Not because of Nick broke up with her but because Pierce left without saying goodbye.
She sat on the lawn and cried bitterly.
