CHAPTER 39
NEXT MORNING**
Jeremy walked downstairs when his phone started ringing, he looked at the phone and saw his mother number.
He sighed before answering the call.
“Son come over to my mansion now” She said.
“I’m almost late for work mum” He groaned.
“Get here Jeremy!!” She shouted.
“Okay mum”.
Jeremy pocketed his phone with a big frown resting on his face, he walked towards the door and when he was about opening it the door opened up and boom, Freddie showed up.
“Buddy” Freddie said.
“What are you doing here?” Jeremy asked.
“Is that your greeting with me?” Freddie asked and hit him.
“Ouch! fk you man”.
“S€rew you” Freddie said and pushed him out of the way.
“Freddie” Moanna called happily and ran to him, she hugged him instantly.
Jeremy frowned immediately.
“How was your night cutie!” Freddie asked.
“It was splendid handsome” She said.
“I kept thinking about you all night” Freddie said and Jeremy gasped.
He turned and left the mansion.
Freddie and Moanna bursted into laughter.
“Let’s go, I can see you’re ready for work” Freddie said and she nodded.
He held her hand as they walked out.

Jeremy’s car pulled in the mansion and he came out. He rearranged his hair before he started going inside.
He entered the mansion and saw Margaret already waiting for him.
“Son” She said and hugged him, Jeremy hugged her back.
“Whey did you called me?” He asked.
“I’m getting old Jeremy”.
“Not again mum”.
“Shut up Jeremy” She snapped at him.
“Get married already, I want a daughter in-law” She said.
“Okay mum, I will look for one” He said.
“You kept saying that all the time, you don’t have to look for one, we already have her” She said and he looked at her.
“Who?” He asked.
“Moanna, I want to betrothed you two”.
“What!!! mum, I don’t love her, I can’t”.
“You will learn to love her, she is a sweet girl, she will make a perfect wife for you son” She said and took his hand.
“I will look for someone else, she may be pregnant for me but I can’t marry her”.
“I will die if you refuse what I said again” She said and started crying.
Jeremy started feeling guilty immediately, one thing he hates is seeing his precious mother shed tears.
“Okay mum, I will but what if she refuse, what about her mum, will she agree to it?” He asked hoping he will discourage her.
“I will talk to them, that’s not a problem…. get ready for the engagement soon.. I love you” She smiled and he forced a smile.
“I will take my leave now” He pecked her cheek and walked out.
Margaret smiled.
Jeremy entered his car and groaned frustratingly.
“She has blackmailed me emotionally” He said and started the car, driving out.
