CHAPTER 57
THREE WEEKS LATER |Morning|
Aquila ran to the bathroom the umpteenth time to puke, she rinsed her mouth and sighed as she walked out of the bathroom looking weak but she froze on her steps when she met Eriel by the door staring at her. “Are you ok baby?” Eriel asked worriedly.
“Yeah, I am fine babe, stop worrying,” Aquila said forcing a smile and Eriel frowned.
“Stop telling me you are fine when it clearly shows that you are not fine, you have been puking since three days now,” Eriel said worriedly.
Aquila forced out another smile and walked out of the bathroom, she was about taking another step when she slumped, Eriel rushed to hold her before she hits the floor.
“Babe! Babe!! Babe!!!,” Eriel screamed shaking her vigorously.
He quickly carried her and gently dropped her on the bed before grabbing his phone to call the family doctor.
“Your attention is needed at the mansion, stop whatsoever you are doing and get down here, you have 5 minutes to get to the mansion,” Eriel said hotly and ended the call before sitting beside Aquila.
“Please be fine for me, ok? I can’t afford to lose you,” Eriel muttered and kssed her knuckles rubbing it gently, just then the family doctor rushed into the room, panting heavily.
“What happened to her? Hope you didn’t hit her again?” The family doctor asked and Eriel frowned deeply.
“I will let this slide for today,” Eriel said giving the doctor a mean look before looking away.
“She has been feeling feverish and pale for awhile and she has also be puking, this morning she rushed to the bathroom to puke and……..she fainted,” Eriel explained.
“Oh, I am sorry for the wrong accusations Mr Chester, please don’t be offended,” the doctor pleaded and Eriel sighed before looking away.
The doctor walked to the bed where Aquila was laid and held her hands, “I don’t know of my thoughts are right but I think your wife is pregnant,” the doctor said.
“Huh? Pregnant? When? How?” Eriel asked with a confused look on his face.
“Why do you look surprised? Have you not touched her over this months of your marriage? The doctor asked staring intently at Eriel.
“Actually, yes…….. I have touched her,” Eriel replied awkwardly.
“So, why are you surprised?” The doctor asked and Eriel kept mute. “I will need her bI.ood to run the test,” the doctor said and opened the bag he brought with him.
He brought out a syringe and took Aquila’s bI.ood before walking away with his bag, when he got to the door he turned to Eriel I will be on my way to the hospital laboratory.
I will come back to give you the results,” the doctor said and walked out shutting the door beside him.
