CHAPTER 5
“Ouw that’s nice,” Aquila muttered. The couples glanced at each other, they were surprised any girl will squeal for joy after hearing Eriel Chester’s name, the almighty billionaire, but this very girl is acting strange.
“Do you know who we are talking about?” Mrs Chester asked.
“Yeah, Eriel Chester, owner of different companies and conglomerates, he is one of the richest men in the country,”Aquila replied diligently like her brain was computerised.
Mr and Mrs Chester gasped and exclaimed Wow! They chorus in unison, so you know him?” Mrs Chester asked.
“Yeah, so why are we talking about him?” Aquila asked uninterestedly.
“She is our type, ” Mrs Chester whispered to her husband.
“Yeah she is, Mr Chester, he whispered back as he smiled at Aquila.
Aquila just stared blankly at the couples as they whispered to each other.
After whispering for some time, Mrs Chester faced Aquila, “My dear, I and my husband have agreed to marry you off to our son,” Mrs Chester said.
“Whattt! I am just 20 years old, like seriously?” Aquila said loudly.
“Come on, calm down please, it’s just gonna be a small marriage party even if you both don’t love yourselves, I will be paying you every week, please do this for me,”. Mrs Alice pleaded. “But……but……but your son has a girlfriend, I can’t and I don’t wanna fight for a man that I don’t even love.
Secondly, I don’t like arranged or contracted marriages and also I don’t think I can be a good wife to your son, I am quite troublesome and always on my own,” Aquila said, sighing.
“I understand what you are talking about my dear, I love you so much that I can’t wait to have you as my daughter-in-law, please just say yes,” Mrs Chester pleaded, Aquila stared at Mrs Chester and she sighed.
