An hour later, Alyssa was done cooking and the aroma was pleasing to the nose. It was creamy chicken noodle soup.
“Smells so good, I can wait to dig in” He said, inhaling the aroma. Alyssa chuckled.
Just as he was about to dig in, he got a test message from his mom to come home immediately.
“Is something wrong?” Alyssa asked when he keep scaring at his phone.
“My mom wants me home, immediately”
“Maybe it’s something important, you should go home”
“What about the meal you made?” He pouted and Alyssa smiled.
“You can eat it next time”
“No. I’d make it snappy and return to you. I can’t let your hard work go to waste”
“I will be waiting” Alyssa said with a smile.
Freddie returned the smile and ruffled her hair before leaving.
Alyssa touch her hair and smiled, but she slapped herself to stop smiling.

BEACH ~ SAME DAY
Molly Moon patiently waited for Hayden to arrive at the beach, so she could talk to him.
“Moon” He called her from behind, and Molly Moon looked at him.
“Sorry for making you wait. I had to treat myself. I got injured from saving you?” He said, showing her his bandage hand. He injured himself on purpose just to show it to Molly Moon.
“Did you injure yourself just so you can continue lying?” Molly Moon asked.
“What are you talking about, Moon?”
“Quit with the act, Hayden, cuz I already know the truth. You weren’t the one who save me that day, it was Clayton.
I trusted you as a friend, I can’t believe you could take credit for something you didn’t do” Molly Moon said.
She tried to leave, but Hayden held her hand.
“Let go of me, Hayden”
“I am sorry I lied to you, Moon. I did that because I didn’t want to be alone.
I lost everyone who cared about me, you were the only one left, and I wanted you to focus on me. I don’t have anyone who cares about me, expect for you” He said, allowing his tears to flow.
“Hayden”
“I have a dad who is a don of a gambling den. He beats up at any giving chance and makes me do illegal things.
He’s so cruel to me. Every injury you have seen was inflicted on me by my own dad”
“What about your mom?”
Hayden sniffles and said. “She is insane. She is in the psychiatric hospital and can’t remember her own son.
The girl I once loved was klled by my own father, and he always threatens to kll my mom if I don’t abide to his wishes.
My life is a mess, and you are the only one who is in it. I was the happiest person on earth when you said you cared about me.
I didn’t want to share you with anyone and that’s why I lied. I’m sorry Moon. I’m so sorry for lying to you” Hayden cries.
Molly Moon blinked back her tears and hugged Hayden. It’s obvious she feels sorry for him.
“I had no idea that you were suffering, Hayden, but it didn’t warrant for you to lie” She said.
Hayden broke the hug and looked at her, sobbing.
“Now that you know about my secret and that you’re the only one in my life, will you date me?”
“Huh?”
“I’m in love with you, Moon. I love you a lot” He confessed.
