BE MY MELODY : CHAPTERS 51 – 60
Clayton limped towards the school field to watch the students play football. He couldn’t partake because of his injured leg.
Dawson pat him from behind and he looked him.
“I thought you’d be joining in the football game?” He asked.
“I’m not in the mood for that”
“What about Freddie?”
“All that boy knows how to do best is taking care of his face. It’s not a must we participate in everything football game hosted by the captain”
“Your eyes are sad. Are you alright?” Clayton asked.
“You are my best friend, but I am not used to you being caring, so just stick to the mean Clayton I know” Clayton said.
“I will just take a nap” Clayton said and made an attempt to leave, but he was stopped by Molly Moon’s voice.
“Go Hayden! Whoa!!!”
Clayton turned and his eyes searched for Molly Moon and she sees her jumping on her feet cheering for Hayden.
Hayden threw flying ksses at her and Molly Moon laughed.
Clayton clenched his feet and made to go to the field, but Dawson held his hand.
“Where are you going?”
“I’m joining in the game” He answered.
“Are you taking drugs? Maybe that’s why you’re high. You can’t play football with an injured leg. It’s hardly recovering and you want to add injury to it”
“Whoa! Go Hayden, Go Hayden. Whoa!!!” Molly Moon cheered loudly.
“My injury has nothing to do with you!” Clayton said and walked towards the field, limping,
“Get lost” He said to one of the student who was competing with Hayden’s team.
“Clayton?” Molly Moon muttered looking at his injured leg. It was still bandaged and traces of bI.ood were on it.
“What are you doing Clayton?” The captain asked.
“I’m joining in the football game” He said and glared at Hayden.
“With that leg of yours” The captain asked, looking at his injure leg.
“Begin the game! I’m fine!” He yelled at him, and Hayden chuckled.
“He wants to be part of the football game, then allow him to be part of it” Hayden said.
Both glared at each other, before the whistle blew.
The game began, and Molly Moon’s eyes were on Clayton worried sick about his leg.
Hayden scored a goal for his team, and he looked at Molly Moon so he could cheer for him, but his face turned into a frown when he saw he was looking at Clayton, and in her eyes lies so much worries.
The game resumed, and despite his injured leg, Clayton scored a goal and Molly Moon smiled, clapping her hands.
“You’re a genius Clayton!” She said in a loud voice. She placed her two hands on her head, making a heart.
Clayton smiled. His leg was hurting hellishly, but he didn’t mind the pain because Molly Moon was cheering for him.
Hayden got jealous instantly. He glared at Clayton who was smiling at Molly Moon waving at her, and Molly Moon waved back, smiling.
The game continued again, and this time Clayton was aiming for another goal.
Hayden, who was following Clayton from behind, trying to get the ball, intentionally brushed Clayton’s from the ground.
Clayton flew and landed back on the ground, twisting the foot of his injured leg, with his forehead landing forcefully on the Clayton.
He lost consciousness immediately.
“Clayton!!!” Molly Moon screamed his name.
