“What do you mean you’ll update it somewhere else?” Canice questioned.
“Thought you had brains Canice. I’ll update it somewhere else, what is hard to understand there?” Chris questioned in return.
“And why would you do that somewhere else when we have someone to do it?” Collins retorted, and Chris went dumb immediately.
Castillo just sat where he was and focused his eyes on Chris. This is beginning to get out of hand, it is getting too much.
And Chris would have to tell him the reason for his stvpid behavior, coz he isn’t finding it funny anymore.
They were almost about to begin an argument, when Castillo cleared his throat, and they all turned to look at him immediately.
“That’s enough! I do not see the need of an argument here” he shunned them.
“And you….he turned to Ivy who had stopped sobbing, and was watching the on going drama.
Castillo relaxed on the chair, and crossed one leg on top of the other, sitting majestically.
“You can pick up those notebooks and leave now. Your job starts now!” He ordered and Ivy stood up, as she nodded and cleaned her tears.
Slowly, she started lifting the notebooks off the ground. They were too much, and she tried her best not to drop any. But how much more could her tiny hands carry?
She was almost falling to the ground with the books, when she picked up the last notebook. She had given up and thought she would fall to the ground for sure.
But luckily and surprisingly, Someone caught her. She closed her eyes breathing fast, coz she knew what would have happened right now.
After closing her eyes for sometime, she slowly opened her eyes, and surprisingly she found Chris. Chris was holding her waist and back, preventing her from falling.
Sweet Jesus! What is the meaning of this???
She did not expect this at all, she was equally surprised as much as everyone in the room. Each of their eyes in that room held so much shock.
And before she could get herself to stand up, the next thing she saw was herself on the ground.
Chris saw the shocked and angry eyes prying at him, he could not even tell why he rushed up to her.
And now he regretted his actions, coz this was for sure gonna bring him out.
So immediately, he let go of Ivy and she landed on her butts, all the notebooks came crashing on the floor.
“Next time, watch it” Chris scoffed and walked back to his seat.
Ivy shot him a deadly glare. What more was she expecting from the son of a devil? Safety? How would he ever do that?
She got up from the ground and quickly wiped her skirt with her hands.
She bent low and started picking up the notebooks again from the beginning, and when she was done she carefully walked away with the books in her hand.
This is not gonna be easy at all, she’s gonna go drop them in her bag pack.
