Lucas force a smile at the lady before him. He was preparing for the bonfire when his dad suddenly called saying he prepared a blind date for him.
Lucas is a young fine smart man any girls would want but he haven’t seen the girl he desire yet. He was turning twenty seven and his dad was get impatient.
“It’s really nice to have a dinner with you Mr Lucas” The lady said smiling brightly. She was beautiful, no doubt.
“Same here miss Maltida” He said politely with a smile revealing his dimple.
“I must say, you look so handsome. I’m glad my father chose you, you feel the same right?” Maltida asked.
Lucas blinked twice and cleared his throat. “You look beautiful too, I’m glad to meet you” he force a smile again.
The awkwardness was killing him already. He feel like jumping out the window.
Why would his dad prepare a blind date without his consent? He is sure Elsa would be upset with him by now.
“Thank you mister Lucas” she replied.
The dinner went on with Lucas trying hard not to upset the Lady. It is so sad the Lady fell for him already.
Lucas took a deep breath in his car and start the engine immediately.
His phone rang, it was his father.
“How was the date?”
“I don’t like her” he said straightforwardly.
“Again? What is it you don’t like in Maltida? She is such a fine woman” His father snapped.
“I know but can you give me sometime?” Lucas said.
“That was the same thing you said the last time. How much time do I have to wait Lucas.
Even your younger sister is already Married” His father said, Lucas took a deep breath.
“Dad, I’ll find someone I promise”
“When? Tell me when Lucas. Your papa is getting impatient” he said.
“This year.. I promise”
“You better keep that promise alright or I’ll have no choice that to cut your balls”
Lucas laughed lightly at his father words. As soon as he cut the phone call, he called Elsa immediately.
“Hey” Her soft voice sounded through his earphone.
“Hey Elsa.. I’m so sorry for what happened, I swear I didn’t mean to break my promise” he said quickly.
“It’s okay, you’re a busy man after all” She said.
“Hmm.. so how was it?” Lucas found himself smiling.
“Not bad though, I left already” she said.
“What? Why? Did something happen?” He asked.
“No.. I had a drink and I couldn’t take it. Gosh! I’m so bad at drinking” she said and he chuckled.
“Me too” He let out a small laugh.
“Really? You look like someone who is a good drinker” she said.
“No.. the last time I had a drink, I literally fainted right before my dad after doing some weird stuff” he said.
“Ha.. tell me about it”
“Nah, I’m driving at the moment but I’ll tell you once you come to the music room for practice” he said.
“Blackmail”
“No it’s not.. I have a surprise for you Elsa so please come” he said.
“Alright bye Goodnight”
“Goodnight” he replied cutting the phone.
He stop his car at the front of his Mansion.
“Welcome Master” A maid greeted him collecting his small black bag.
He went straight to his room and dip himself inside the warm water in the bathtub. He sighed closing his eyes.
